A court hearing has been made that an Inverness man promised to buy an Xbox if he had sex with an 11-year-old girl in the woods.
Kevin Napier, 31, also pretended to be half his age and tried to get a young man to send a naked image of himself on Snapchat.
Today he received up to 300 hours of unpaid work, but was warned that he would be imprisoned if he deviated from the rules.
Kevin Napier of Culloden’s Blackthorn Road appeared for a ruling Inverness Court After the background report is created.
A high school girl who appeared in the forest … with her mother
The court was alleged that Napier offered a high school girl illness on April 21, 2020, but was arrested when the girl appeared there with her mother and friends.
The resulting conflict was filmed on a mobile phone and he was reported to the police.
Previously, courts were said to have Napier contacted young people using fake names on Snapchat between January 1, 2020 and January 30, 2020.
Napier sent sexual communication with the intention of engaging in sexual activity and allowed her to meet younger children.
Attorney-at-law Mike Chapman has asked Sheriff Margaret Neilson not to send his client to jail.
“He will react like a child to his actions and his vulnerabilities will be exploited in prison,” he said.
“The report recommends repayment orders to the harsh community, and he will be very noticeable in the community. He expresses his regret about the pain he has caused to the victims and wants to re-offend. Not. “
Sheriff Neilson warned Napier that if he somehow violated an unpaid labor order, “there is only one option and you will be sent to jail.”
