There’s a pretty solid chance that you’ve happened upon My Child Lebensborn previously. You see, not only has it picked up some stunning reviews on mobile, but it was awarded a BAFTA for Games Beyond Entertainment. There is therefore much interest now that it has launched on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC through Steam, My Child Lebensborn comes from the Sarepta Studios stable to deliver a story driven nurture game, one that sees players taking on the role of an adoptive parent of a young Lebensborn child.

Taking place in Norway shortly after the end of World War II, My Child Lebensborn promises to be gritty and gut-wrenching as it sees players experiencing the harsh truth associated with the children born of war.

It’ll be up to you to help the ‘child of an enemy’ as the post-war societal experience plays out. It’s based on real life stories and experiences, taking you through the joys and sorrows of a land of the time. Showcasing a different side to war, you’ll need to help your child work their way through a hostile and abusive society as reality begins to unfold.

Day-to-day tasks will need to be taken in as you attempt to help your child – Karin or Klaus – grow up in an era of hostlity and hatefulness. With a linear structure and serious tone at hand, expect something to play out much like a mix of My Talking Angela and Papers Please.

Features include:

  • – Influence the child’s feelings, personality and worldview through your choices.
  • – Look for the effects of your choices in your child expressions and body language.
  • – Explore a gripping storyline based upon true events.
  • – Earn money as you work, then cook, craft, forage and play.
  • – Use your time and meagre resources wisely.
  • – Adopt a boy or girl, and support them through a defining year of their life.

If you’re up for taking on the challenge of My Child Lebensborn and think you can dedicate the five hours or so to watching a child grow, head over to your favourite digital store and take home a download right now.
